The holistic forest preschool program strives to elicit in each child a strong sense of the imagination, empowerment, increased mobility & motor skills, respect for self and for others, healthy living, and environmental responsibility.
This is achieved by delivering an almost exclusively outdoor-based program where children use the environment and objects found in nature to explore the world. Facilitators and volunteers are trained in delivering a program based on engaging children’s spirits, using curriculum based on research and developmental readiness, leading through child-centered approaches, allowing for a safe space where children follow their individual learning process, and through connecting to one another and the world in a non-violent and caring way.
Our approach involves moving away from computers and man-made learning devices, and moving towards embracing the elements and learning to live sustainably with the earth.
Enrollment to this program is limited, so please note that priority is given on a first come first served basis. We look forward to meeting and working with your little ones!
